Many people like the concept of doubling their salary or achieving rapid career improvement, however the reality is that they firstly need to invest in doing something that will enable this.
This is where the famous concept of ‘first the roots, then the fruits’ comes from.
If a pay rise or a promotion is what you are after, take some time to identify what things you need to add to your ‘business case’ for such benefits. What are the roots that your career needs to have, knowing that they will allow you to bear fruit in time?
Then, of course, its time to plant some seeds!
